Canada’s first multi-cryptoasset fund now easily accessible to retail and institutional portfolio managers and family offices
October 24, 2018 (Toronto) – 3iQ Corp.’s Global Cryptoasset Fund announced today that they have joined TSX NAVex™, Toronto Stock Exchange’s mutual fund platform. The fund, which will trade under the symbol TiQGC, is the first institutional-quality investment portfolio offering diversified exposure to some of the world’s top cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.
Through TSX NAVex’s centralized mutual fund solution, accredited Canadian investors and portfolio managers will for the first time have simplified, efficient access to the uncorrelated assets of cryptocurrencies, being managed by a regulated investment manager in Canada. The RRSP and TFSA-eligible fund provides investors with an institutional level of security, lead consultancy and trading expertise to access daily liquidity in the cryptoasset space. TSX NAVex gives discretionary portfolio managers the ability to make multiple purchases at the same time, on the same ticket, considerably simplifying the current process.
“We are proud to launch our Global Cryptoasset Fund on TSX NAVex, which will give investors and their advisors daily liquidity and considerably easier access to the first fund in Canada to invest directly in multiple cryptocurrencies,” said 3iQ Corp. President and CEO Fred Pye. “We are witnessing digital assets becoming more mainstream. The diversification characteristics of cryptoassets, along with strict regulatory compliance, offer this new asset class a place in most investment portfolios. We look forward to working with TSX NAVex to continue providing the most secure regulated platform available for Canadian investors to gain cryptoasset exposure.”
3iQ Corp. is among a growing list of early adopters on TSX NAVex, one of the newest ventures in TMX Group’s growing lineup of innovative platforms and structures. The platform, accessed through Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), streamlines the distribution and bulk trading of a wide range of fund products. The 3iQ Global Cryptoasset Fund is also the first listing on TSX NAVex which invests directly and exclusively in the cryptoasset space.
“TSX NAVex welcomes aboard 3iQ,” said Kevin Sampson, President, Equity Trading, TMX Group. “In working together we will be able to provide a broader product offering and discretionary advisors services with access to 3iQ Global Cryptoasset Fund.”
